[There's] nothing wrong with romanticizing home. I do it too. But one trip to the bowling alley with all the overly-procreating Catholic moms and their six kids reminds me well of the Long Island I hate.

Well it is out of date for starters. Catholics don't have larger families than the average anymore in the US, and Anglo Catholics have smaller families than the average.
