Maybe McCarthy meant to say the email mess, which has hurt Hillary. Benghazi might come back and hurt her depending on what the deleted emails say, that Hillary said were personal, if there is something embarrassing on Benghazi. If there is, then she is toast. But first the emails need to be recovered, and then released to the extent not personal.

He meant just what he said. It doesn't take much to know why that committee was set up, but McCarthy just let it slip out. Your leaders are getting sloppy.

But it's just so factually ludicrous, to claim that is the genesis for the bulk of Hillary's poll fall. 95% of the discussion is about the emails, with Hillary taking flack from next to everybody. So it's just profoundly stupid. So I suggested, rather sarcastically, that he must have meant the emails. Otherwise he's either an idiot (and he's not), or he's trying to sell something that you can't move off the shelves no matter how  much you discount it. Heck, the street folks might not even think it worthwhile to salvage from a garage bin.

Yes, obviously he meant the email mess, that's why it was never mentioned in the discussion and Benghazi was multiple times, and why he gave credit to the House Republicans for creating the Select Committee on the Benghazi investigation in the same sentence.

He was obviously referring to the email scandal.

Well, I appreciate that you perceive my perspicacity. Tongue
