The problem is that "authoritarianism" is in the eye of the beholder, and a quite meaningless term, unless a term of art, which is given a specific definition. The English language is sometimes inadequately precise, and needs defined terms of art when one enters the world of the abstract. Just ask any lawyer. Smiley

I don't understand why a moderator of all people would make such a thread. This is literally nothing positive that can come from that thread.

Implying the mods are morally upstanding.

What the heck is a "self-parody" anyways?

One who over time posts stuff that someone else would have posted making fun of him, exaggerating well his little eccentricities, let's put it - because it is so over the top -  before the poster went there himself, rendering the task redundant. In this context, it requires that the poster over time has "evolved," or perhaps to put it more aptly - "regressed."  Make sense?
