Probably North Dakota. It is flat, cold (except when it is very hot in the summer) and empty and quite far away from where I might want to go. Most states that suck at least have some tolerable areas to live, such as in Alambama across the bay from Mobile, and Mississippi along parts of the cost, and Florida has a few tolerable spots, and Texas has Austin, and so on. ND has nothing.

Iowa.  Which is rather ironic.

And California.  Actually, my experiences along the west coast in general have not been ones that I wish to repeat.

What did you find disagreeable about California, Sam Spade?  Did you have a relationship that went bad there or something?  Smiley
