Gaetz is learning the hard way that Trump isn't loyal to anyone but himself. He will cast off even staunch allies and sycophants of his if it works to his benefit.

I figured Kinzinger would be the first. Whether or not you like his politics, there's no denying that he has integrity.

Lincoln, Logan, Dirksen, Michel, Percy, Thompson, Porter, Edgar, Kirk, Dold and Kinzinger, among others.

Illinois Republicans have done pretty well for themselves, if you ask me.

Illinois has also contributed the loathsome Dennis Hastert, but yes, he's the exception to the rule.

What a waste of money. Is he kidding or what?

Ironic how the tweet has a picture of Gaetz wearing a mask. I remember last year, right as coronavirus was emerging and just as the pandemic was beginning, how Gaetz wore a gas mask on the House floor to mock the guidelines which were being issued at that time. And yet now, he's had to wear an actual mask for several months on that same floor thanks to Pelosi's mask mandate. And soon, he may be out of Congress entirely.
