Trump supporters are unrealistically optimistic, as usual, but the pessimism on the re-opening timeline from Biden's voters, even now, is pretty startling.
Yeah. A couple months, sure. But a year seems like too long.
Why would it be safe to end social distancing measures before a vaccine is made available?
You really think it'll be a full year before there's a vaccine? Even if it is, there'll be effective treatments before then. People have lockdown fatigue, and we can only live like this for so much longer.
I certainly couldn't tolerate all of these measures continuing a
year from now. And given that people seem to be defying protocol already, it's hard for me to see the general population tolerating them for that length of time either.
