Certainly so. He's been Director of the Center for Infectious Diseases for 36 years, and was a prominent figure during the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. In fact, I watched an old PBS Frontline documentary from 2006 about AIDS, in which Dr. Fauci was among those interviewed. I believe he will be turning 80 in December.
