January 27, 2004
Dear XXXXXXX,
It's very late here in Dicksville Notch, New Hampshire. It's Tuesday morning, just past midnight, and I'm writing to share some great news.
The residents of two small towns -- Dicksville Notch and Hart's Location -- have just cast the first primary votes of the 2004 Presidential election and given us our first victories!
In just a few hours, polls across the Granite State will open, and the first true test of our campaign will go into full swing. We are confident and we are strong.
Gert and I are incredibly grateful for your tireless support. Your efforts -- in every state, every community -- are the foundation of our campaign. You have gotten us this far. And, together, we will go all the way.
Today, the eyes of the nation are on New Hampshire. Tomorrow, we turn our focus to the February 3rd elections -- 7 states in 7 days. Please stand with us, stand for America.
Sincerely,
Wes Clark
P.S. Yesterday, you demonstrated your strength yet again by shattering our $2 million fundraising challenge a day early! Over 17,000 donors in just 14 days. You are incredible!

He misspelled the name of the town. Dixville Notch voters must feel so used.
