The number of slots doesn't affect the activity of MPs.

Yes it does.

Faster pace=fewer number of officeholders staying engaged=more inactivity.

Well the South has 12 slots yet they never have burnout, and they also have far less inactivity than we do.

You literally were telling me the other day they have far more turnover in their legislative body than we do historically...

Yeah, but unfortunately that is almost always through people resigning to take higher office. Very few vacancies were actually created from recalls or resignations caused by inactivity.

That's true in Fremont than the South, I think.

People who left for higher office in Fremont in my time in the game:
canis
Devout Centrist
ON Progressive
Lumine (once - could make a case for twice since he bolted for SOS after announcing his retirement)
Pericles (twice)
MB (Fremont to Lincoln is a literal move on paper but serving in Lincoln set him up to become VP)

People who left for South for higher office during that time:
Mr. Reactionary
CMB22
Lechasseur
YT
HCP (who did nothing as Deputy GM anyway IIRC)

So yea... no.

ASV is correct on the historical stats, but only 19% of the South's vacancies have occurred since October, while for Fremont that number is 37%.

That's because Fremont was so inactive that recalls in the pre-2018 days were not held, and legislators were seldom asked to resign (which could explain the historical gap in openings between the two but not the gap since October). You should know this because your inactivity played a part in their being no functioning Fremont government during the Yankee administration and resulted in him making Truman move and set up an emergency government. So tl;dr, that tidbit is misleading.

Also if legislators are too inactive to vote, they're not gonna complain of burnout in public most likely. That doesn't mean said burnout does not risk posing a problem.
