Next step in the convention process is opening the floor for endorsement requests.

Since it's only September 18, we can allow a long window of time for this. 96+ hours?

Can someone PM me a link to any Peace discord? I've generally avoided the Atlas/Atlasia dsicords for the longest time to preserve my sanity (and generally still plan on continuing to do so), but seeing as I'm the chair of this party now, I don't want any serious miscommunication problems.

Give we don't even have a final list of candidates in all races, holding off a vote till we get closer to election time.

Next mess is dealing with the platform.

Scott's platform (June 2018)

24+ hours to motion for changes. (I'm interested in holding a principle vote on some things that I will do after the 24+ hours are up)

I wonder if we can accept both the Scott platform and the Siren platform? In addition to being written by two giants of Atlasian and Peace Party politics, they each represent good manifestos for our ideology and governing style.
(Here is Siren's: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=273609.msg5839675#msg5839675)

I'd rather not have two platforms honestly because I don't want to make changes to two different documents.

Introducing a series of principle votes as a brainstorm. I can lead this power around in a certain direction ideologically but at the same time, I don’t want internal conflict to emerge, so to see where were at on certain issues in addition to possible platform changes, I am setting this up.

Principle vote:
1.Always Obey International Law
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain
2.Opposed to a ban on assault weapons.
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain
3.Opposed to free trade deals like NAFTA.
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain
4.Favor banning non-supplemental private insurance.
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain
5.Support the Employee Free Choice Act.
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain
6.Support free public college for in-state students.
[   ] Yes
[   ] Nay
[   ] Abstain

I say we stick to the positions that have unanimous support Tongue

I wasn't really planning on putting the one thing you voted against in the platform and that was more to gauge interest.

Seeing no objection we can now adjourn. We need to find a site in the South for the next location. Giving you all 72 hours to make a suggestion and then we’ll have a vote.

Above platform adopted by acclimation.

As of right now, Galaxie and Scott are set for a primary match up as both declared their running for next weekend's election for the vacant Fremont seat.

Technically this means a primary from Fremont can have non-Fremont voters in it, which I don't think is right. Then again I don't think this was created with the intention of having to do this for a region race.

Per the census, only six Fremonters are registered as Paxists including the inactive Siren.  My suggestion would be to allow non-Fremonters to vote, especially if we can't get at least five people to vote.

I mean 5/6 I'd consider reliable voters and Siren is at least back on AAD now so getting to 5 has decent odds. Although I'm not sure what we'd do in the event of a tie... maybe let non-Fremonters break a tie?

Officially, the primary will open at midnight ET on Friday between Galaxie and Scott.

I'll motion to retroactively change the bylaws thereafter since voting on two things at once would be confusing.
