Why are people forgetting how pro-incumbent WV is?

Who would win if it ends up being Swearengin vs. Blankenship?

Swearengin could if the DSCC made a play for it but they'd likely triage it.

I have this strange feeling that I can't shake that while heavily losing, Paula Jean will do much better than expect, like low to mid 30s... I think Manchin might get O'Rourke'd in the primary, probably not that drastic, but I can't shake the feeling of a Swearingen overperformance.

Does it matter? She’ll get 10-15%ish but I don’t understand why you hate her so much. She’s a generic progressive.

She's not that generic! She's a coal miner's daughter and has been protesting people like Blankenship for decades. She's wonderful.

Generic progressives are wonderful on average Tongue

Hot take: I hope Blankenship fails to get on the ballot. CT not having a sore loser law cost us the public option so I don't wanna see them done away with. Then again if all states had top 2 like CA, we wouldn't have to worry about this at all.

Paula posted the same poll on twitter
https://twitter.com/paulajean2018/status/1022567197863026688
and she said a big announcement is coming soon shes definetly going to do a write in campaign this race just got a whole lot messier

She doesn't have a cult personality like Blakenship and her name is hard to spell. I doubt she gets more than .5%.

I'm not sure why people want Ojeda to run against an incumbent GOPer in a pro-incumbent state. He's better off staying in his seat, either retiring or going against Mooney, and then going for Manchin's seat in 2024.

This and Blankenship's run cancel each other out.

I would rather have Mussolini than this piece of crap.

Not sure what's stupider. This take or PJS deciding to run as a write in.

Well, Manchin will win, but I think a lot of people owe me and Bagel an apology for calling us trolls for going against the MUH safe D Manchin by double digits conventional wisdom.

I gotta admit you were more right in general this cycle than me....

It would have been nice if she'd made a couple of ads about this, instead of more "WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!"
