Any resident of the southeast may propose an initiative or amendment for the ballot. Note that three signatures are required for ballot placement.

Considering the Clarification of "Municipality" Initiative, it would appear that the South Carolina and Louisiana Abortion Initiatives are not valid law, as I don't see anything defining the states as municipalities.

Also, no initiatives from March or later are up. How would I go about getting a Wiki account to put them there?

Lets see. A county actually is a municipality according to Southeastern Law (see the Clarification of Municipality Amendment).

However, Woz, your initiative is silly; that would not be a statewide referendum but actually 48 seperate county referenda. And then, we're getting into confusing ground, because legally there's no definition of residence at the sub-state level. If you really want try to ban abortion in Arkansas that badly, just propose an initiative saying that states can ban abortion.

Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think that such community iniatives specified in the Community Choice Initiative were meant to be actually voted upon in the forum. But that's a different matter entirely. Prededent would be on your side, I guess.

BTW, I'll be proposing some initiatives shortly.

Wait a minute, Woz isn't even registered in Arkansas. He's in NC. See:

Sorry, Woz, but I'm almost certain that an individual can't pass such a community initiative in a municipality that isn't his own.

Now I am officially registered in Arkansas (temporarily at least)

Sorry to be hounding on you again, but I'm pretty sure there's some amount of time that must elapse before you can reregister in a new location.

The Sound Minds Save Lives Initiative

1. No person who has been deemed "mentally ill" and met one of the following criteria shall be allowed gun ownership:

civil commitment to an inpatient psychiatric hospital, found not guilty by reason of insanity, or clinically diagnosed as schizophrenic or psychotic.

2. No mentally ill person shall be denied due process as the legal status of his mental health; absent a Living Will or or existing power of attorney, the governor or magistrate may appoint representation and bestow mental health power of attorney on behalf of this person if it is deemed he cannot tell reality from fantasy and is unable to assist in his defense.

And you can't get around that fact by just listing all the state's municipalities.

How about this, Woz. If you get the required three signatures for that initiative, I will take a full examination of the legal precedents involved and make a decision then. And at that point, if you disagree with me, you can always take me to court.

Jake is correct, in my interpretation.  Municipality elections are not meant for actual formers but are established simply for the principle of popular sovereignty with the decisions wrought by them purely representative of virtual atlasians.

Exactly.

Let's see here, with Brandon's signature on everything:

XBacon King on your initiative, Brandon, giving it three signatures.

Both of Woz's initiatives have only a single signature (Brandon's).

TCash's "Sound Minds Save Lives" initiative has two signatures, mine and Brandon's.

If there are no objections, I'll just have the initiative vote during the Public Interest Amendment vote that's coming in a couple days.
