Haha, very interesting. I don't fit my profile at all in a lot of ways. I listen to news/talk and urban contemporary on the radio; I drive a Toyota; I drink Dr. Pepper, Blue Moon, and Natty Light (at parties, not by choice); I eat (occasionally, at least) at Chick-Fil-A, Domino's, and Cracker Barrel; the only channel I ever watch with any frequency is Comedy Central. Absolutely nothing that applies to me in the "high turnout, Democratic skew" quadrant.
Chick-Fil-A is right wing?
"Everyone was glad we got Chick-Fil-A catered for the luncheon, because that's God's chicken right there"
-school official presenting to the local Board of Education, at a meeting I attended a few months ago
lol @ Hooters being right-wing.
Mark Sanford was polled?
Douchebags tend to vote Republican.
Unless they're college douchebags.
Has there ever been a survey of how average frat votes?
My fraternity at Tulane voted entirely for Obama in 2008, except for one guy that voted for Roger Calero (or maybe it was Gloria LaRiva, I don't remember). Not a representative sample, of course; when people discussed politics at the national conferences I attended there seemed to be somewhat of a liberal tilt overall, though most of the big southern schools were very conservative.
...just look at politicians who are members of SAE
Notable Sigma Chi politicians, on the other hand: Jack Layton, Steny Hoyer, Ike Skelton, Mo Udall, John Garamendi...
(but also Barry Goldwater, Jon Huntsman, Jim Gerlach, Bob Corker, Lamar Alexander, so more of an even split I suppose).
