Once I couldn't remember Carl Levin's name; I got out "Senior Senator from Michigan," "five or six-termer," "reelected in 2008," "Chairman of the Armed Services Committee," "Got first elected when he was only on the Detroit City Council," "the one with the bad combover and granny glasses," and a few other things about recent votes that I don't remember now, before I finally got his name.

Interestingly, I finally connected it because something I said reminded me of Carl Hayden here on the Atlas and then, because of "Carl," the guy's name finally hit me.
