Honestly, its like the whole country is blind or something...

Besides being unconstitutional, a gun ban is not a magic pill that will cure all our gun related problems.

No, but it IS something.

Anyway, my sympathies to all the students and staff of NIU affected by this horrid event.

My heart goes out to all involved as well.   But this gun ban stuff is nonsense.  Do you remember why the Long Island railroad shooter picked the Long Island railroad?  No guns.  He would have never tried it in Texas.  Schools are gun-free and sadly easy targets for whackos.

Let's ban whackos not guns.

That means banning anti-depressants.  If these shooters had never been on medication in the first place, none of these tragedies would have happened.  They would have been a little crazy, but not as crazy as right after being taken off medication.  When on those drugs people are either zombies or completely nuts.  People do not magically become normal.

He had mental issues - he might have been sweet sometimes and crazy other times. She knew him personally and you didn't. Yeah, it's easy to just see these people as evil monsters but the reality of things isn't so simple.

I don't disagree mental health issues are real and people need proper treatment for them.  However, you've made my point.  The problem isn't the gun.

I agree, it isn't the gun - my yellow avatar should tell you that much in regards to my opinion. I was commenting on the "I wanna puke" thing.

We'll even though we really have little disagreement, I did want to puke....sorry.  But I doubt I was alone.  Natural reaction maybe.

If we wish to reduce these killings we need to get over the knee-jerk moralistic response that the killer is 'bad', and start recognizing that anyone might kill when abused in the fashion that our society abuses people.

How was this man, abused, specifically?

The same way all working-class people are - through economic enslavement.

Oh that's such horse sh**t and you know it (but you won't say it).
