Probably, it's been several weeks since the last mass shooting.

There's no evidence this is a mass shooting at this point.

Glad I'm not flying today. The ripple effect on air traffic control is going to be catastrophic.

I'd guess complete gridlock throughout much of the country.

It appears the gunman is an off duty TSA officer.

A workplace shooting. What a great country we live in.

I have a different take on this, but it's too soon.

Might as well enlighten us now dude.

Let's just say my opinion of the TSA workers isn't very high, from personal experience and anecdotal evidence.

Right, because all mass shooting in this country came at the hands of TSA workers.

I never said that, but it's a workplace and workforce that has problems at its core.

It's a low income group composed disproportionately of people of color whose jobs make them highly visible in a service role.

In my experience, that alone explains the dislike of them as a class, although I can't see why.

Personally I've never had any negative experience with a TSA officer nor seen anyone else have one. However, given the meniality of the position, the pitiful salary they earn and the high turnover I'd give them more leeway than I would most people in terms of performance.

I'm probably biased.  Flying with certain diabilities is a bitch post 9/11, trust me, and my tolerance for idiots who don't know how to deal with that is very low.  So I guess my whole position is biased come to think of it.
