There is a cloudless blue sky above me in Halifax this morning, temperature 18C.  I'm going to finish my morning communications, run a few errands, go down the harbor, sit outside and enjoy a few drinks, and in the evening pack and prepare to leave tomorrow for my three-week trip to East Asia.

I can't watch that here, but she hasn't left me alone all afternoon on email, and I'm afraid if I ignore her emails I will make her mad or something. I'm going to have to tiptoe around this one.

I think my boss may be backing off. She asked me what I did for the 4th and who I was with when I went to the beach, and I told her a girl I was sort of seeing from school. Since then, she hasn't been around me nearly as much as she was before. Maybe that's all I needed to do to cool her pursuit.

She was too clingy......but I'm not sure letting her know you got sand on your wee wee banging some hot 20 something putana on the beach was so smart.  Nice knowing you, my Greek friend.

I've still been evacuated from my home since Thursday.  The wildfire has spread to about 100ft from the outskirts of the neighborhood, although the firefighters are doing all they can to prevent property damage, and no injuries have been reported thankfully.  Overall the fire is about 15% contained, and today we were given a tentative date of July 19th for total containment and a possible return to our homes.

I only packed enough clothes for about three days.

The girl I have been seeing texted me this morning to tell me she was coming back to town this weekend and wasn't going to make any plans with anyone else so I could "do whatever you want to do with me all weekend. Your choice."

Not sure what I did to deserve it, but what a great start to the week!

I get to finally go home on Wednesday morning!  That'll be 13 days since the evacuation.
