I was talking to the girl I like (Liz) again last night about college.  Since I'm likely moving to the state she's attending college at, I wanted to know what things are like where she goes.  She said she was at a concert and that we could talk about it later.  I said, "okay."

Almost 24 hours later; no new messages.

Patience. Every reason you think is causing the delay is wrong. It's something completely innocent and normal. Fear not, puissant paladin.

That's what I'm hoping.  What I don't know is how long I should wait before messaging her again.  I don't want to come across as an obsessed stalker.

I'm with Hokey.  If necessary wait until tomorrow and ask her how her weekend went. All is well, just be patient.   Nothing bad can happen by being patient.  Bad things happen when you're not. Been there, done that.

After a hearty dinner of bourbon and steak last night, I have peed 3 times and took a massive shat, I dropped 2.068 pounds and weigh in at 334.643 pounds. At this rate I will be down to my desired weight of 165 in just a few months.  Thank heaven!!!!   No brief relaxations to report.

I am proud to say I am employed for the summer. I'm working for my uncle's friend's mob/real estate law firm in town, and I'll probably spend my summer looking up titles, random b*tch work, and delivering things to the court house. What fun it will be!

I was due to start work today, but yesterday's lunch at my favorite Chinese restaurant proved to be a mistake. I don't think I've slept in 24 hours and I'm basically living in the bathroom. I haven't been this sick in a very long time.

I felt awful. I got dressed and was going to go in anyway and warn my boss, but then I immediately had to go, well, use the bathroom again.

Thank god my boss seems really friendly. I offered to come in anyway but she said tomorrow is fine and she'd be in contact with me during the day to make sure I was okay. I feel awful about it but I didn't want to go in and vomit or s**t all over myself in the office.

I really don't know what she meant by that, but apparently this is one of the bigger real estate firms in town, but I know little about closing because I have yet to buy a home of my own.

The head attorney told me during my interview that he hopes I will be able to conduct a closing with a real client by the end of the summer, but part of me thinks "closing" in this context actually means killing someone as opposed to closing on a real estate transaction. Just a thought...

I'm having a filling and tooth removed tomorrow. The first is okay but I've never had a tooth pulled (though I had wisdom teeth removed under a general anesthetic) so feeling a bit bleaurgh. Still it's only going to cost me 35 pounds.

At 35 pounds I'd expect a guy named Leo with a pair of pliers yanking your tooth.......no novacane either.

Looking forward to kayaking later today. Everything should go over well if my mother and her awful fascism doesn't get in the way. It's quite sickening and incredibly frustrating.

As for my own updateee, well I'm again off in another not-too-far away (3 hour drive at my super-slow pace) town making $40 an hour playing the 'teacher'.  Should leave with $1,400 cash by the end of the week

I may have spoken a bit too soon - I only walked away with about $1,000, so it was only about $32/hour (the hours were short as well).  This does happen in Thailand - you'll be paid well, but you can never be sure if it will actually be as well as promised.  Everything is such a web of cheating and fakery (for example the paper work never matches the reality at all), that a few bucks one way or other is unpredictable and depends on many factors and many relationships.  (and one has little direct recourse).  

I just made it known through the 'third party channel' one must use in Asia that I wasn't going to complain publicly, and wasn't upset, but would be able to participate in future for less than $240/day.

Are these wills you're looking up (sans grandad) soon to be deceased people?  If so, I'd advise them to do exactly as they're told by the mob lawyers you work for.

Wills are not filed with the court until a probate is opened. If one has been opened, sorry about your granddad.

Tonight was awful. I had grilled salmon and a cucumber tomato salad.....get ready....WITH FRENCH DRESSING.  My Fitness Pal puts that at 3000 calories.
