At least 50 dead, 200+ injured. Shooter killed by LVPD as previously noted. Stephen Paddock was indeed the shooter Undersheriff McMahill LVPD on CNN right now stating, at least 8 guns in his hotel room.

CBS reporting that police had to use an explosive device to breach Paddock's hotel room door but that he was dead at the time by suicide. Also sites are reporting that he used a cam system to see when the  police were outside his room to know when to commit.

CBS says he had no priors.

Not to side step this but this came up as a top story in Google News, House poised to pass legalization and easier access to silencers this week https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2017-10-02/house-poised-to-pass-law-easing-sale-of-gun-silencers-after-las-vegas-shooting

Way wrong time to do this GOP.

Again, 58 dead now per the Clark County sheriff. 515+ injured now per his presser.

Thune says the Senate might take a look into bump stock restrictions. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-thune-says-i-think-well-take-a-look-at-bump-stock-device-restrictions/

Meanwhile, the typical same-old, same-old responses:

"We can have that discussion at another time," said Sen. Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina. "But it's a typical political tactic by some on the left."

Sen. John Kennedy, R-Louisiana, said "I do not think that the United States Congress can legislate away evil."
