When you say "seven days later" does that mean if someone resigned on a wednesday, we'd have a Wed-to-Fri election time? Shouldn't it be on a weekend to make sure voters are aware of the election outside of school/work time?
Also, if we're legislating elections, I would be open to expanding the scope of this legislation to change the dates for future Southern elections. If we look at the Introduction to Atlasia thread, we can see that Southern elections are always a week off from federal/Lincoln/Frémont elections. If we moved the election schedule up one week, then our elections would coincide with the rest of the nation's elections, and voter turnout would increase.
