"Second and last term"? Has de Blasio ruled out running for a third? Or did they go back to the 2 term limit sometime in the last few years?

They let Bloomberg run a third time after NYC council members recieved "campaign contributions" from him thus waving the "rule of law"

Kind of surprising seeing as how Sanders was previously buddying up to Cuomo and Cuomo and de Blasio hate each other. Perhaps this is a sign that Sanders has already achieved a statesman like position in the Democratic, above petty factions, and everyone wants to be associated with him.

They want that sweet sweet Millennial vote

No matter how much De Blasio kisses Bernie's ass, he will never win over his cultists.
You see, he was once the campaign manager of the Devil incarnate.

Who?  Clinton?  de Blasio was never a campaign manager AFAIK and he wanted to endorse Sanders.  His aides told him to endorse Hillary.
Elected officials shouldn't let their aides influence them like that.

Endorsing Hillary was a decree set by DWS that all party members were forced and cajoled into following. There's a reason that the 5 individuals who dared to run against Clinton were virtual unknowns (Chafee, Lessig, Webb), failed politicians (O'Malley), or not even a real Democrat (Sanders). Anyone remotely important who even thought about challenging or questioning her great highness Hillary Clinton, and/or her right-hand Woman DWS, was marginalized, criticized, declared irrelevant, called a sexist, and deeply punished. That included Obama, Biden, other women like Amy Klobuchar, and tons of other Democrats. We should thank God that Hillary lost and that DWS was fired. The democratic party is better off without those witches.

I should clarify that there were many legitimate Hillary supporters. But DWS's and Hillary's threats, name-calling, and punishments were the reason Hillary had support among 90% of party leaders instead of 50 or 60 percent.

I'm still waiting to learn the punishments Sanders supporters suffered.
