Why does the press never follow up with:

 "So you 100% want to stop healthcare from being more affordable?"

 "Are you 100% against providing economic relief to Americans impacted by Covid-19?"

 "Senator why are you 100% in favor of many Americans having their drinking water come out of deteriorating lead pipes that makes their kids sick?"
The media is seen as the arm of the Democratic Party, so they can't
The "media" is quite broad and of course conservative media does exist

Joe Manchin has offered his opinion on this, let's just say it's less than ideal:



Manchin has the mindset of a 90s politicians who thinks it's still the good old days with bipartisanship. He doesn't realize times have changed and McTurtle just spoke out the obvious. They never had any intension to govern as long as there's a Dem prez.
Don't you think Manchin knows this but plays this bipartisan role for the camera
