Name: Jake Javinisk (D-NY Class 2)
Ideology: Populist Left Libertarian.
Previous Offices Held: Mayor of Oyster Bay (2008-2010), New York State Legislator (2010-2016), New York Senator (2016-)
Bio: Born October 12th, 1979 in Oyster Bay, New York. Graduated from Yale in 2001. Jake returned to his former home in 2002 and successfully ousted the incumbent Republican mayor of his home town with a feisty populistic campaign calling out the mayors known corruption. He defeated him 58-40% becoming the first Jewish mayor and the first Democrat to win in the town (a override republican stronghold) in 20 years. In his short tenure as Mayor, he would fire and replace almost all of the former mayors cabinet and appointees going on a mass anti-corruption campaign. He would also be to get to properly ordering new legislation fixing up the ailing infrastructure in the town. He would leave 2 years after he was first elected leaving with a estimated 65% approval. He would move to higher pastures as instead of his expected run for County executive, he would run for the State Legislature and easily beat a lesser known republican candidate going to the State Legislature in Albany representing most of Northern Nassau County. In that time he would heavily support the new governor Andrew Cuomo. However after new reports of corruption began to surface around the new governor, he would become one of his sharpest critic from the Left. He would however support the Governors efforts towards Universal tuition to the state colleges while supporting the push for universal healthcare among fellow Democrats. He would also be a strong critic of the Independent Democrat caucus and said "they are giving away the Legislature towards Republicans". Meanwhile in this time new rumors and scandals were surfacing against long time Senator Charles Schumer. A official report soon revealed he used pay to play corruption in his 2012 re-election efforts to win. And reports showed he profited heavily of it. After these rumors became fact, Schumer was stripped of his right to become the leader of the Democrats in the senate and a investigating probe began against him. Javinisk sensed a opportunity. He declared his candidacy against the Senator in January of 2016. A strong candidate, he ran to Schumers left calling him "Corrupt Chuck", a line unironicly being supported publicly he many prominent republicans including Donald Trump who tweeted of it. Overnight his name recognition shot up and was within 20 points of the Senator in primary polls. Come election time, to everyone's surprise a close race couldn't be called until later the next day, Javinisk won. Everyone was shocked but Schiller graciously conceded. He would go on to easily defeat conservative activist Wendy Long in the senate election and become the youngest New York Senator ever.
