It's a bad sign for Jones already that Moore got more votes than everybody in the Democratic primary combined.

It's a bad sign for Jones already that this election is taking place in Alabama. There's not much more to be said on the topic.

One thing's for sure: Jones can at least use this to obliterate what little African-American support Moore might have had up to this point.
And this could convince Siran Stacy and the Coalition of African-American Pastors to stop endorsing Moore.

CAAP is an irrelevant organization that cares about nothing except opposition to same-sex marriage, so I doubt this changes their minds.

This will change the minds of absolutely 0 Roy Moore supporters.

Does point towards a possible ejection from the Senate if elected, though.

I have my doubts that the Senate Rs would do anything other than welcome Moore with open arms.

Unless they think they can hold a new special election that will get them an R more keen to their agenda and leadership IMO

Ejecting him is really the best-case scenario for the GOP. Governor Ivey just reappoints Strange and we hold a second special in 2018, and the GOP gets its safe vote without having to have the whole "We have a pedophile in the caucus" issue.

What's to stop Moore from running again in the second special election?

No way he wins a Republican primary at this point. Given another Republican option, most Republicans would choose the other option; the problem for the GE is that their other option is a Democrat.
