While I actually went to malls and saw stuff in Virginia and Maryland, Missouri barely counts, my parents just crossed the state line to basically say we were there and then went back. They basically did the same thing with Indiana back when I went there (to Gary and back), but of course Dude Fest has made it so I've actually stayed there.

Haha touche!  But I have left my home region on many, many occasions.  Just not to very many in the US.  And I don't claim to know about the places I haven't been to.
