Wow, maybe Daniels isn't so bad!  If someone has the balls to admit an increase in taxes is on the table (as it should be) I'm willing to listen to what they have to say.

Agreed, it's an unfortunate reality if we are to maintain a social services military state.

The thing is that liberals don't want to cut the military to reduce the deficit or raise taxes, they just want the money freed up to spend on other things, like giving teachers' unions more generous acupuncture coverage or subsidizing low-emissions beekeeping.
