I don't see how this idea makes much sense. Northern Virginia is democratic because it has the most government employees per capita of anywhere in America. These are people who have a much higher opinion of the government operating things than the average american does. They are likely not as "scared" of socialized medicine or huge public works projects as, say, a private sector philly suburban voter.



Exactly, which is why your title is absurd. "Economic liberals" are the ones that are pushing to privatize everything.
