We honestly need Don Blankenship to be the nominee.

All Hillary has to do is tweet "Don Blankenship is a horrific candidate for West Virginians. He failed the state and is far too conservative for the US Senate."

If Blankenship doesn't win the primary, Manchin needs to be triaged ASAP. No path to victory for him now. Elect Bredesen, Sinema, and Rosen and ignore WV while defending the big 4 - MT, ND, MO, IN.

What I'm doing is sharing my personal opinions on what should be the DSCC strategy. I don't see any path to victory for Manchin, thus I believe the only path to retake the Senate is that seven-seat strategy I mentioned.

Manchin looks more likely to win reelection every day, though I still count him as a slight underdog. Morrissey seems like one of, if not the weakest Republican recruits.

This was a turning point in the race. Trump masterfully used his massive appeal in West Virginia to strike at the foundation of Manchin's reelection campaign.
