Isn't this outrage a bit much? Republicans are such cowards.

A woman was attacked with such a vile tweet by the President & you are cheering it. Hillary may be totally dishonest about most issues but she was right about half of Trump's base being deplorable ! This is some low level shi* & people cheering it on - Really !

Where is your faux-outrage about the "attack" on Joe Scarborough in the very same Tweet?

"Psycho Joe."

Is it because he is a man and can handle it?

I thought women wanted gender equality?

Why the need to defend the poor innocent woman and not Joe?

Why?

Trump has a long history of punching women but not men...I wonder why?

Why do you feel the need to defend the woman? I thought women and men were equal?

You people don't even believe your "gender-equality" nonsense, or else you would act like it.

It's hilarious.

Deleted

Why won't you defend "Psycho-Joe?" Seriously? Don't you care about his feelz? Why the need to be a white knight for the damsel in distress?

Either you believe in gender equality, or you don't.

Actions speak louder than words.

Faux-outrage is easily identified.

Spoken like a true neckbeard cuck who owns a 12 kit fliphole set and a barrel sized life-time supply of jergens hand lotion

Still deflecting.

You can't live up to your own rules.

You can claim, "gender-equality" all that you want, but your actions speak louder than your flimsy words.

You can't have it both ways.

The reality is, you need to white-knight for the defenseless damsel solely because "shez a gurl."

You need to dig deep down for the faux-outrage.

You don't really care about the tweet at all. You just want to pretend that you do, so that your "righteous indignation" can discuss your true feelings.
Notice as well that Mondalewon here is using sex specific insults. I thought that that the use of 'gender' specific insults was supposed to be sexism?

Thomas Jackson right now:

What a mess!

You feel like a big man mocking young women who clearly have mental and physical health issues. I have to say I feel rather sorry for the woman you are mocking as clearly she has issues.

I don't feel sorry for Mika Brzezinski at all. She is given a prominent platform every morning by NBCUniversal, one of the largest and most powerful media organisations in the world. She has used that platform to do exactly what she is paid very well to do, be a propagandist for the interests of the political and corporate oligarchy she was born into. She and her co presenter have been relentlessly and viciously attacking Trump for well over a year now and now everyone is acting offended when Trump made a single swipe back in the other direction.

He needs to let crap that he gets everyday go. He can't keep tweeting stuff like this.

Why should he stop?...it fires your base up.

Nothing gets the GOP goobers more motivated than fear, latent racism, hatred, misogyny, and tribal division.

Trump knows what you guys like and he keeps giving it to you.
You're an idiotic hack, you know that? I can never get on this forum and go 5 posts without someone calling the GOP some kinda hateful party. Grow the f*** up.

Gianaforte tied with Quist. Gianaforte bodyslams reporter. Get's 300% increase in donations and wins by 6%

Karen Handel down by 7% against Ossoff. Starts running ads featuring only liberal women laced with misogyny and blaming leftist snowflakes for Steve Scalise's shooting. Wins by 3%

Donald Trump. Starts out at 1% in the polls out of like 20 candidates. Praises David Duke, says Obama created ISIS and wasn't born in the US, insults Gold Star Muslim family, insults virtually any woman who questions him, instigates violence at rallies, and much much more. Beats out 20 polished Republicans.

Face it...your party is fueled by mean spirited bigotry that is routinely heightened to fever pitch.
Trump has never praised David Duke, he never said that Obama wasn't born in the US ( he expressed doubts but that's not the same thing), he only criticised a Gold Star family after they publicly criticised him in very strong terms, he does not 'insult any woman who questions him' he insults people who report on or question him in a hostile matter both men and women. Violence at his rallies was instigated by DNC and leftist provocateurs, he simply expressed frustration with such people and urged that they be ejected asap. As for the US government's role in deliberately encouraging Islamic extremism for decades let's not go down that particular rabbit hole right now but there is more truth in what he said about that than many would care to admit.

As for Mike she's been aiming highly personal insults at Trump for a long time, why shouldn't he respond in kind.

Alternate Facts.
Enough to fool uneducated trump supporters, but does no good here.

I have to say I'm pretty surprised at the magnitude of the reaction this is getting on both sides. This whole episode is so prototypically Trump, it hardly even seems worth discussing. Is anybody's opinion changing at all from this?

Mika is an ultra DC insider in a way that Megyn Kelly isn't. She was literally born into that circle. Many of the DC insider circle will know her well and a few will have known her since she was a kid. That might be part of what makes this reaction stronger.

I've just seen the clip that Trump was responding to in which Mika says that Trump is 'ruining the country' and that he has tiny hands. Of course this wasn't a one off from Joe and Mika. It seems that they have (well paid) license to bash Trump every morning with constant insults about him, his staff, his mental state and his physical appearance. Fine, that's what a free press is all about.

However Trump's Twitter account is just as much a part of the press as the Morning Joe show is. He has just as much right to attack them as they do to attack him. They are both 'the press'. But it seems that if Trump insults Mika in the same kind of harsh tones with which she insults him every single morning then suddenly its at outrage. It seems she can dish it out but can't take it.

That's what a free press is all about. Using your freedom to make personal insults about the President's appearence. You've also made quite a few personal insults about me. However when you do I don't complain "Wah, wah, the nasty SJW said mean things about me", instead I just insult you right back.

Mika by contrast is constantly insulting the President from her extremely privileged platform but when he returns the favour in kind then suddenly she and her defenders think that's not fair. She and other prominent media figures should remember, if you can't take it then don't dish it out.

I would also mention its a cleverly effective insult from Trump. Try watching a clip of Mika now without thinking about her facelift.

"President appears unable to handle media criticism that has been a staple for all U.S. Presidents. News at 11."

Please, people, Jefferson went through worse. Adams' papers called him a fornicator with African American slaves (well, that one turned out to be true), an atheist, and a bunch of other things in the election of 1800. The South had definitely horrible things to say about Lincoln.

President Snowflake needs to grow up, ignore the criticism, and do his job.

Well lets just look at how recent Presidents have responded to harsh criticism from the media. Republican Presidents, in particular this President, have had vicious criticism from left wing media outlets (e.g. NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, the Jeff Bezos blog, the Carlos Slim blog, the LA Times, Huffingfton Post etc). Democratic Presidents have had vicious criticism from right wing media (e.g. Fox News, Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh and other rw talk Radio).

Democratic Presidents have responded by taking regular swipes back at right wing media. Republican Presidents by contrast, GWB especially, have just been punching bags for left wing media, never swiping back in the way that Dem Presidents did to their right wing media critics. Is that really such a smart strategy for Republicans, especially in an era where various forms of social media provide a ready platform for swiping back?
