A good point made here by Steve Sailor

Lets not forget that these 'antifa' have the most success in there tactics where the police have been ordered to treat them with kid gloves, as in Berkeley or Seattle recently

American Thinker reporting that UC Berkeley will be given the opportunity to rectify its mistakes

Napolitano, along with the Mayor of Berkeley, Jesse Arreguin, failed to request adequate assistance to prevent the violence that had been signaled by Leftists who cannot survive an airing of contrary views. Evidently, officers were issued orders and/or lacked equipment that could have prevented the violence that caused cancellation of the lecture. Water cannons are made for the purpose of breaking up violent mobs before they can do their worst. If the Campus police or Berkeley PD lack the equipment, there must be other agencies that have water cannons. The masked, uniformed, armed thugs who marched onto the Berkeley campus could have been thwarted much earlier. They were already violating the law, and should have been ordered to disperse. As the former head of the Department of Homeland Security, Napolitano ought to have been supremely qualified to understand and overcome the threat.  [/quote]

I think UC Berkeley should now be given a choice. Either use whatever force necessary to break up the threatening mob so that the talk can go ahead. Or if they fail to carry out their duties they should be cut off from Federal funding and sued into bankruptcy. If those are the options its given then its a win-win either way.

The rioters were obviously being funded Steven Bannon and the Trump Administration. I heard rumors that he's going to send in the feds to patrol every college campus in America.
He'd save more money if he just shut every campus down. I know for much of the hard sciences students need to be physically present in the lab or in the field but for the rest of the subjects we've got the internet now. I'm sure it would be much cheaper for students to just learn everything online. Shut down the campuses, restructure Federal funding of Universities and along with it the entire university system. save a shedload of Federal funds.

Its 2017 already. Why do we still have this ancient and out of date University system.
