Truss will be annoyed Braverman just sneaked in.

A very good score for Mordaunt too seeing as it’s essentially a battle for who faces Sunak. However wait my bad maths means it’s possible for the MPs to try and squeeze Sunak out- as happened to Portillo in 2001.

Is round 2 tomorrow?

Yep. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jul/12/how-does-the-tory-leadership-contest-work

3. Run-off votes

From 14 July

Over several more rounds, the candidate with the fewest MP votes is eliminated until two remain

It started 2 hours & 15 minutes ago, & just ended 15 minutes ago. Results in 45 minutes.

Ah, right, thanks! Smiley  At 8pm we'll know the results.

Sunak's self-abasement in the last 24 hours has almost reached Jeremy Hunt proportions.

Surprised that no British tabloid has yet printed the headline "Rishi Sunknak". Grin xD

Sunak has effectively conceded, per the BBC.

Rishi Sunak has signalled he believes he has lost the Tory leadership race, telling the BBC his job "now is just to support a Conservative government".

Speaking to Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, the ex-chancellor also said he would continue as an MP if he does not become prime minister next week.

However, he did not rule out running again to be Conservative Party leader.

The winner of the contest to replace Boris Johnson as leader is due to be announced on Monday.

So, no snap election then. (lets see how long this promise lasts)

This doesn't look like the landslide everyone was expecting.
The media is pointing that out, that it was a somewhat disappointing result for her. It was expected a 65-66% share for her.
