How would you rate the eight major Western countries (defined as countries with a population of more than 40 mio. and not including Latin America) on a scale from 1-10 in terms of how committed they are to helping Ukraine?

I'm relatively pessimistic, so I'd say

Poland 8
UK 6 (seems to have declined)
France 5 (despite Macron's tough talk)
US 5
Germany 5
Canada 3
Italy 3
Spain 2

Why isn't France in the top of the list?

Macron suggested the use of western soldiers for direct combat against the Russians. Other leaders didn't do that.
