Of all the things the Democrats could threaten a shutdown over, this is the hill they choose? Total incompetence. The wall is not an unpopular idea in broad scope.

it is in the south and it is going to become even more unpopular if realized.

PP is too abstract a thing and wouldn't be forced to close down anyway.

but if access to abortion is restrained even more in general or Roe vs Wade is really going to be contested.....THAT would hurt the GOP imho.

i hope sanchez's scenario plays out.

doesn't matter for me if there would be another 12 years "hole" 'till the next democratic president as long as that time, the filibuster would be gone forever.
