You lost and now no one cares about YOUR feelings cause we have the Senate, House, Supreme Court, White House, and in 2 years will also have the Constitution (via state convention).

What do you mean?  What are you referring to?

if republicans have the total control of 34 or 38 states, they can amend the constitution on their own.

not likely atm....even unlikelier in 2018.

people who said trump would win the EC without the PV were correct and deserve credit.

all kind of interpretation is free for all.

in a country without a far-right party (which wasn't part of the hard fringe) for decades, the recent success of the AfD is of course more disturbing for the society than good FPÖ numbers are in austria....a country which preserved far-right policies since the nazi era.

would be hard for trump claiming moral victory, since you need some kind of morality for that in the first place.

"debating" about banning muslims is like debating about banning jews.

to be "open-minded" about this topic is to "broaden" the possible debate in ways which are not desirable to a classical-liberal society.

It's not, it only shows that you haven't any clue about Islam or Judaism.

so banning out of religious sentiments is a good idea, if there is enough.....evidence?

well...i wonder what could go wrong. Smiley

i think collecting what some dudes wrote thousands of years ago, in another language with another meaning....(or even worse: a collection of dudes in different spaces at different time for different reasons), to fight for the greater good of their own time and space.....can't be used in a literal way nowaday.

making out of it what helps us in our current society is a question of open interpretation and ofc restrained by the law.

it can absolutely be debated - as long as it is clear that many muslims are able to make something out of the quran which isn't just a collection of rage, hate and martyrdom.

imho - (even while the words of a middle-european on that matter could as easily be the words of someone from mars) - a collection of bible verses was taken litereally...or have been defined in a more violent or nit-picking way favouring more "extreme" positions - for centuries until reformation/inner-christianity religious wars/industrialization/urbanization and last but not least the world wars did finally achieve to separate the political and the spiritual world in EU-rope.

imho violence is not something baked into any "real" religion like a D.N.A. - there is a reason islam was defined not nearly as unhinged in the past. it's about the daily struggles of all muslims to define what it does mean for themselves.
