the biggest difference between ron paul and rand paul is, that rand also plays ball on presidential level and not just inside the earmark universe.

if islamophobia is going to be part of the administration why not give the advisor job to daniel pipes?

flynn seems to act and talk more stupid than someone of his calibre should be capable of....

Watching all these losers come kiss The Donald's ring is amazing. Does Cruz have any dignity at all?

i totally agree.

and i don't understand it, if true.

why should he leave his safe spot in the senate to get a position at which trump could literally sack him all the time?

What is so wrong with sitting down with Putin? I think we need Putin more than ever right now. I want good relations with the world's other major nuclear superpower. I don't see how that is so controversial.

there is nothing wrong in general with that wish, which is why i have supported obama in 2012 regarding this question and approved of his snarky answer to romney....in hindsight a severe miscalculation.

unfortunately it is my sincere belief, that ...since mister putin's return as president in 2012.... russia became a kind of neo-imperial empire, trying to dominate the states of the former soviet union directly and and - at the same time - topple goverments (through means of money/media/proxy fringe parties) which disapprove of that goal.

since europe is ground zero and moscow is promoting an illiberal model which is, imho, the opposite of the American Dream, i - like many other europeans - look to washington as the only possible global counterweight. however you judge mister trump's connections with moscow, the addition of mister flynn isn't helping in that regard at all.

as an american ofc you don't need to care about our european feelings or needs at all, even while i - as an US citizen - would still be baffled about the possible influence of the FSB during the election. Wink

to be fair, since Bibi took sides in the US, the debate about Israel became way more partisan.

not that it was in question anytime but this is doubling down for republicans....restraining the liberal democracy is only a problem if some states do it.

on the other hand....i would take 10 Netanyahus each day compared to one Putin.

No to sound like a hack, but Trump's picks so far have had incredible amounts of baggage and stem quite a bit of hatred from the left. To say these have been unwise choices would be an understatment. Trump is setting himself up for confirmation battles and bad press, why?

he is just picking 1) loyalists, who are often damaged goods to start with, 2) pander-picks to the GOP base, which are as extreme as the come and to a smaller amount 3) floating never-trumpers for show.

bolling is one of the most despicable people in american media, imho, so it's only natural he would - too - get some kind of offer in the trump administration.

Welp, if Tulsi Gabbard joins the TRUMP cabinet we can finally put the meme of her running for the Democratic nomination to rest.

i am not sure why it would be an advantage for ANY not yet-retired democrat to work in this administration.

maybe old-timers who don't have any career plans anymore and want to help preventing the US from falling into pieces.
