i am not sure if the conservative internet audience is the same as conservative voters at all....but it seems clear to me that the right-wing-echo-chamber has established kind of the same "safe space"-bubble like some millenials want to build at universities.

if you are convinced  bill clinton (mister center himself) has nearly ruined this country and barack obama (a practically center-left politican with a knack for some millenial pet projects) is the death of civilization.....then it doesn't matter anymore which candidate the Dems nominate at all since the world is ALWAYS ending.

the irony is, that the left is this year making the same argument ...together with some parts of the right...since trump really would be a game-changer in a really bad way.

so in my center-left, european eyes:

a significant part of the american right is so afraid of any democrat at all...that they would prefer to set a real madman into the oval office to prevent their own fear projection from happening.

seems like catch 22 to me.

let's say trump would run against biden....

does anyone think, suburban ladies would unite behind him? wouldn't his gaffes out-trump trump? would the blue-collar vote really be split?

sanders would happened anyway....and biden has said some really man things about republicans too.

i am not so sure there is a dem candidate which would killed trump instantly....there is a reason he was able to cut 15 other candidates in the rep primary.

i think the "guilt by association"-charge isn't really helpful if dozens of millions of people vote for someone and maybe only a few million at most are in fact racist.

the bigger problem in my eyes is not how the KKK is voting but how mister trump and his campaign are willingly courting those types .....even while i guess, this is not about approval for fascist ideas in general and more like "not alienate even one blue-collar-voter".

I was pleased to see Farage campaigning for Trump the other week.  The Clinton campaign and the Remain campaign are basically the same people on opposite sides of the pond and the political fight against them is the same fight.

with the little difference that americans usually loathe it if foreigners meddle with their elections....and mister farages cause was a slam dunk in UK since decades while mister trump has a real challenge to master. Smiley
