Alhamdulillah for blessing America with such a strong, fearless, and intelligent congresswoman in the person of Ms. Ilhan Omar. May she be given the strength to continue triggering the snowflakes.

We should have just let her ungrateful self rot in the Somali trash pit she crawled herself out of.

So in your (and trump's) eyes, Somali is a "sh*thole Country."
Nice. Stay classy.

Somalia is objectively a s**thole country.

An objective claim is a statement about a factual matter-one that can be proved true or false. For factual matters there exist widely recognized criteria and methods to determine whether a claim is true or false. A subjective claim, on the other hand, is not a factual matter; it is an expression of belief, opinion, or personal preference. A subjective claim cannot be proved right or wrong by any generally accepted criteria.

You'd benefit from learning the difference between objective and subjective claims.

20 years of conflict
73% poverty rate
Food prices up 300%
60% of kids not enrolled in school
Average life expectancy is in the low 50s
1 in 7 Somali kids die before the age of 5

I think you need to take your own advice.

Those are objective facts, sure. But, they're being ascribed subjective value.

Again, you'd benefit from learning the difference between objective and subjective claims.

The point still stands that Somalia is objectively a sh*thole country, and all factual evidence proves this. Trying to argue otherwise speaks more about what you need to learn than anything.

The point still stands that you can't comprehend the distinction between objective and subjective statements. You can cite a hundred pages of statistical facts that show poor objective performance markers, yet that still wouldn't make Somalia an "objectively sh*thole country." Trying to argue otherwise speaks about what you need to learn of critical thinking skills.

As I said to ProudModerare2 earlier in this thread, if you think Somalia is so great, go ahead and relocate there. Let us know what you think.

There are more subjective evaluation options of a country available than "great" and "sh*thole." Such black and white thinking is unhealthy. And, refusing to conclude that a country is objectively a "sh*thole" doesn't mean that I have any desire whatsoever to live there; just as I don't have any desire to live in Japan or the UAE or Virginia.

Trump cherry picked what Rep. Omar said in her speech, took it wildly out of context, and intercut her out of context remarks with 9/11 footage. This, coupled with the NY Post cover page are extremely loud dogwhistles and will certainly result in an increase of death threats against Rep. Omar. What the right wing is intentionally doing will result in a congresswoman's life being put in increased danger. They know this and don't care, just like they don't care how their rhetoric has led (and will continue to lead) to so many right wing acts of terror, violence, and intimidation.

Hmm... I wonder how seriously Trump treated 9/11 on the very same day the towers came crashing down...

Quote
"Donald, you have one of the landmark buildings down in the Financial District, 40 Wall Street," said Alan Marcus, a WWOR analyst. "Did you have any damage, or did you — what's happened down there?"

[...]

"Well, it was an amazing phone call," Trump said. "I mean, 40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually before the World Trade Center the tallest, and then when they built the World Trade Center it became known as the second-tallest, and now it's the tallest."
