Read Sen. Warren's Twitter feed on the subject here.

Elizabeth Warren‏ @SenWarren
Tonight @SenateMajLdr silenced Mrs King's voice on the Sen floor - & millions who are afraid & appalled by what's happening in our country.

Elizabeth Warren‏ @SenWarren
I will not be silent while the Republicans rubber stamp an AG who will never stand up to the @POTUS when he breaks the law.

Elizabeth Warren‏ @SenWarren
I will not be silent about a nominee for AG who has made derogatory & racist comments that have no place in our justice system.

Which Republicans did not vote to silence her?

Question: On the Motion (Shall the Senator be Permitted to Proceed in Order?)

They should stop televising the senate, it'll stop the silly grandstanding

Any notion of a decrease in transparency is completely objectionable and would serve only to benefit shady interests and politicians who'd prefer their work hidden from public view. Thus, I imagine it'd be an enormous boon for Republicans.

The Senate just banned the words of Coretta Scott King to protect the feelings of a man it once deemed too racist to be a federal judge.

It's incredible to think that Sessions's racist history was less politically acceptable 30 years ago than it is today. The Republican Party has, undeniably, engaged in social regression; what's more disturbing, however, is how inconsequential that regression is to its voters.
