Shameless move by the FBI director. He should come clean and release the info to the public or should have shut up till the investigation was completed.

This confusion is only to influence the elections.

Comey needs to get the facts out in the public domain ASAP. clearly the Trump campaign should want this too.

Comey's biggest risk was someone leaking the information to the media. Just days before the election, the republicans would have two things to rail about - the new emails found *and* the supposed coverup by the FBI.

He chose the way which does the least damage to his career

The biggest problem is that Comey didn't provide any details, I am not sure if he even had the details at the point.

He just irresponsbly threw a molotov cocktail into the race and walked away.

Had he recommended indictment back in July, then those were charges that could be disputed. Now no one has any idea what information to go on.

Dump emails means to hand them over. As in a data dump

I know exactly what it means--I just don't think it's a good idea for Clinton's campaign to draw more attention to this whole situation than it's already getting--releasing them publicly would put 100% of the media coverage on Clinton the rest of the election cycle.

These revelations are coming from the wikileak hacks. How is the campaign drawing attention to them?
