Raleigh has better big cities (RDU), while Virginia has s[inks] cities but some of the best small towns in the country (Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Roanoke)
Yeah this sounds right.
Virginia is probably one of the very few states in the country where the smaller cities would have any appeal to me.
At anyrate if I was to live in Virginia I'd prefer Richmond or somewhere in Hampton Roads to NOVA. I don't think I'd like living in NOVA.
And Raleigh/Durham/Charlotte I think would be better than NOVA or the bigger Virginia cities.
