For me it was the 2000 (general) Presidential election. I supported Gore.

Way back in 1988.  I was still a ways from being voting age, but I supported George HW Bush.  Yep, I'm old...LOL! Wink

The first presidential election that I was able to vote in was the 2000 race (I turned 16 in 1997). 

I intended to vote for George W Bush...but I believe I accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan.  Don't ask me how THAT happened, LOL.

Oh were you in Florida?  I heard those ballots they had in 2000 caused a lot of people to vote for Pat Buchanan.

At the time, I was.  It was...confusing, to say the least.
