I was not aware that she had passed. (Actually, according to bioguide.congress.gov, there was no mention of it.)

Anyhow, she certainly is/was one of my favorite Republicans. Not only was she quite liberal, but she adopted her sister's six children when she (the sister) died, in addition to raising her three biological children.

The reason you didnt hear of it is probably because she's alive....
