As someone whose done my fair share of gig-work on the side to make spending money and save, I won't lie that this thought has popped into my head multiple times... Especially when delivering to places in more rural parts of DFW.
Stand your ground and castle doctrine are both insane...And even if you're going to have those laws there should be clear cut-outs for people who make innocent mistakes like this w/o showing any intent to harm the homeowner who shouldn't just be able to treat anyone near their property as a 'fair-game' target, my Lord... SMH.
