Results update.

Anadolu, 80.5% reporting:

50.4% Erdogan
43.8% Kılıçdaroğlu
  5.3% Ogan
  0.5% Ínce

Anka, 78.0% reporting:

48.5% Erdogan
45.7% Kılıçdaroğlu
  5.3% Ogan
  0.5% Ínce

Is there a good reason for the discrepancy here, or are these not official results?

Either way, let's hope that 'Anka' is closer to whatever the results end up being, barring any electoral shenanigans by the AKP if it's close.

These aren't official results. Nor do they include the foreign vote.
Oh.
In that case, I could see Erdogan avoiding a runoff. I completely forgot about the foreign vote.

I assume the Anadolu results include the overseas votes. In the website I'm following it says this:
Quote
The tally includes ballots submitted by voters residing overseas.

If this is true, then it also explains the difference in results being reported.

Fascist tries to neuter any real Leftist/Progressive change in Turkey before he'll allow the opposition to take the reigns of power. Well, that and the possibility of some non-voters becoming energized before the run-off, but I don't think that's historically very common.

It's an unfortunate situation that the balance of things likely hang with such an odious person, but ultimately for the sake of Turks who do want an open and modern society I hope his supporters will see reason beyond their nationalist neurosis and vote out the autocratic buffoon that is Erdoloser.

In which an ex-Brussels regional MP becomes an Erddogan minister.

She was a member of a christian democratic party in Belgium...

...and was expelled in 2015 for Armenian Genocide denial

It's concerning how the overseas diaspora has become politicized. The US and Canada seem to have handled this issue better, possibly due to differences in their immigrants' demographics and financial backgrounds compared to those in Europe.
