Their whole argument before Roe was overturned was 'parents can put their kids up for adoption if they don't want them' and allow parents to have kids to may not otherwise be able to but now that it's overturned, look, you have them suddenly attacking these very same people who they claimed should have a right to have children

No conservative is denigrating adoptive parents. Plenty on the left are.

From my viewpoint, as someone who believes all people have equal worth, trans parents = parents.

Ok I will interpret that as a move of the goalposts.  I haven't said anything about transgender parents being lesser than.  My basic opinion is that if the person who birthed and has been raising you started saying they are a man, that person is still your mother. Maybe you think that's transphobic, idk and idc. I'm not interested in debating it with you, just don't impute opinions to me I haven't stated.

MTG was clearly deriding non cis-gender adoptive parents in her statement, no? You went on to say that no Conservative would ever deride adoptive parents, even though she clearly was. That isn't moving the goalposts whatsoever except for someone who believes that people who aren't heteronormative have lesser value as parents.

Do the first 23 years of my life count? I grew up in a family that didn't drink for religious reasons. My Grandma would literally draw a line on her wine to see if anyone had drank it with big 'FOR COOKING ONLY' lettering.

I haven't drank for the last couple months either and honestly don't miss it. Besides a brunch with some friends a few weeks ago, but no more drinking at home or alone for me.

Also, while I'm on it (cause I've wanted to say this for a while) this thread is really just a 'posts/user I dislike thread' more than anything. Less than a quarter of the posts are truly absurd irrespective of the person's ideology in a general sense. But I digress.

Another issue with the "Nordic model" is that in at least country (Norway), it's basically ran on the same economic principal as Venezuela, aka let's use lots of oil money to fund lots of social services. Now obviously Norway is nowhere near as bad off as Venezuela now due to the fact that its leaders aren't completely economically illiterate or completely sociopathic pieces of sh!t, but regardless, is a petrostate model something that can be replicated in most places...or even should?

Fair enough. It'd just be more of a gamble. I'm sure the people setting up in Carbondale considered Cairo but decided it'd be safer to set up in a town that's a good bit larger.

There's no law against it in theory- but in practice if you're a company wanting to set up facilities to slaughter children on an industrial scale, then perhaps a town of only 1700 people wouldn't be the ideal place in terms of having enough police to control protestors, having local officials to support you in the event of conflict and to pass local laws curtailing protestors' freedom of speech, etc. Lots of things to take into account like that, and clearly Carbondale was the closest place that was both left wing and large.
