The correct Christian viewpoint is pro-gay, not anti-gay.

And thank goodness we no longer live like barbarians; as far as I’m concerned the quicker truly devout religiosity dies out the faster we can move on with the work of actually improving the human condition. Taking the Bible literally as the inerrant word of God is both dangerous for society and thankfully not something anyone from my generation really does any more — many take it seriously, but very few literally. I’d rather the youth pickup placards or a newspaper than the Bible. So hip-hip hooray for the rise of “biblical ignorance” and the fall of biblically inspired misogyny, racism, homophobia and bigotry.

It's not that it was staged or not. Children shouldn't be coming out, especially not like this. Homosexuality in children should not be glorified and publicized. I have personal objections to this.

You can take your ‘personal objections’ and shove them where the sun don’t shine, I can tell you I came out to my Mom when I was 12, and questioned my sexuality, in the way adolescents do gay and straight, much earlier. Heterosexuality is not the default. If you hold homophobic views, why support a gay candidate for President? Baffles my mind.

At least 16 is when children's minds have matured enough yet to make that kind of decision.

I don't believe that gay kids are indoctrinated, I expected that you people would jump to assume that when I made the post, because you can't find an actual argument.

What’s wrong with censorship?

It's inevitably based on the beliefs of the mainstream, so if your beliefs someday find themselves outside of the mainstream for whatever reason, you'll find yourself getting censored using the same logic you used to censor others.

I agree with all this, and disagree with censorship. I also don’t believe controversial opinions should mean you’ll be banned.

Doesn’t make Grassr00ts opinions any less belligerently homophobic or bigoted, and I’m glad he’s been roundly condemned and thoroughly outargued for them on this thread.
