The preeminent organization fighting for Women's rights in the United States, the National Organization for Women, made a surprise endorsement of Governor Jeanne Shaheen today in a hotly contested Democratic primary. The endorsement came despite the presence of two other women in the race, Senators Blanche Lincoln and former First Lady and Senator from New York Hillary Clinton.
