After over 500 hours of CK2, I decided to take the plunge and try out EU4. After watching some YouTube tutorials, I've begun a game as the Huron.

As someone whose put over 600 hours into the game; I wouldn't really suggest Huron as a first nation, you won't learn many core mechanics and they're gameplay is incredibly boring for the first 200-300 years. I'd go for Portugal or England, perhaps even France since it's very hard to mess up as them.

Here's my own

EU4: 960 Hours~
HoI4: 260 Hours~
Stellaris: 50 Hours~
Ck4: 20 Hours~

To be honest, Stellaris and Crusader Kings are the two I haven't been able to get into yet. Europa has always been my safe spot, with easily many more hundreds of hours in EU3 and on other devices/accounts in the past. I just recently got into HoI4, and while the base game is relatively mediocre and boring, the mods make it a lot of fun.

Actually, would anyone be interested in a multiplayer game someday? Has that ever been attempted for any fo these?

Anyone else planning on getting Victoria 3? I've already pre-ordered it myself, which isn't something I usually do. Probably the game I've most been looking forward to in over a decade.

Hell, if enough people here start playing I think an Atlas multiplayer game could be fun someday.

So for what its worth, despite the criticism some are levying at Vicky 3 for being a bit sterile (as if they've never played a Paradox game at launch) I'm really enjoying it so far, I've already got nearly 7 hours actually. The mechanics are solid, the map is beautiful and I can't wait to see what the mod community does with it.

also even if you've never tried a game by paradox or any other grand strategy game I'd still recommend taking a look at Victoria 3 right now when you can play it for free

the Victoria series is objectively the most Atlas Forum games that have ever existed

And the 1.5 update, including mostly free additions, has genuinely put the game into the best place it's been since launch.

It's almost like a whole different game, so yeah, +1 to this.
