Moderates before the elecrion: Unity! Heal the wounds! Bind the nation! MUH COALITION!!!!

Moderates after the election: AOC AND HER SUPPORTERS MUST BE THROWN INTO THE CAMPS

OP literally called us the enemy of the Democratic Party but whatever.

Who is “us”? OP is clearly talking about AOC. I swear, you guys on the left have such a victim complex, it’s unbelievable.

Oh? Forgive me, then. Usually when moderates attack AOC, they also either explcitly, or implictly (as OP as done) attack anyone who supports her as well.

No one is attacking her supporters lmao. The issue is her and others, poor messaging which is hurting Democrats in swing districts.

Correct me if i'm wrong,  but didn't you guys actually lose swing districts? And didn't we win ours?

Wow, winning Minneapolis and the Bronx? How impressive. Messaging by people like AOC makes it much easier for the GOP to scaremonger and tie incumbents in swing districts to unpopular policies. That’s part of the reason why they lose. “Defund the police” and “Abolish Ice” doesn’t win votes.

So that makes us your enemy then?

I assume you'll have no objections to us starting a third party and peeling away Democratic votes?

Silence, Republican!

@ OP: I get your frustration with AOC and her TwitterTantrum/poor messaging as much as anyone on Atlas, but she is not the enemy.  I’ve always said these sorts of inter-party disputes should be thought of as a family feud b/c we’re all on the same team at the end of the day.  But guess what?  If you go around calling the folks on your team “the enemy,” they’re gonna think of you the same way.  Like it or not - I certainly don’t Tongue - AOC is an inspirational figure to an important segment of our party.  I’m not saying her TwitterTantrums should be rewarded or that GOTFan isn’t wildly overreacting, but we should be having these debates in a respectful, good-faith, and thoughtful manner.

At the end of the day, we’re a big-tent party and we all need each other to win, much less get anything done.  The only ones who benefit from TwitterTantrum rants about “muh evulz moderates” or moderates treating Berniecrats like they’re some sort of fifth column are the real enemy: authoritarian-coddling, corporatist right-wing reactionaries like McConnell and the far right SCOTUS majority.  The stakes are too high to waste time on BS name-calling every time another Democrat says something annoying.  And that goes just as much for folks like GOTFan as it does for OP.
