Can midturn please be extended one day?  I had RL emergency today and may not be able to get them in otherwise.

I was not planning on posting them today anyways, they'll probably come late tomorrow.

Could it please be after 11:30 EST?

I’m sorry, but I really think I’m gonna need tomorrow.  Can the midturn please be extended until then?  I can explain more via PM if need be although it’s kinda private tbh.

And regarding update, perhaps it could be about some stuff happening in Europe while leaving X world alone so he could make the moves at the end of the turn even if he misses the midturn?

I have stuff I’d really like to get in during the midturn if at all possible and some of it does involve Europe, so...

So does this mean that Catholic Republicans are going to want to start a new papal election or something else?

I'm sorry, I've got to drop out.  I just have too much I have to deal with RN with RL.

Edit: I'm actually gonna hold off till tomorrow and make sure I'm not reacting impulsively due to personal RL stuff.  Spamage, can you please not include anything effecting Brazil, the other Latin American Catholic-Republican countries, or Portugal in the midturn update?

While I agree we are clearly in the later stages of the game (probably 2-3 more turns if things are allowed to run naturally), I do not think it's fair or proper to cease it until the Great Eastern War and the semi-related conflicts are brought to a suitable conclusion, especially given half of the remaining player base are combatants. This is a fight on a scale not seen since the first game. Although there was an Austro-Prussian war at the end of the previous game, the circumstances were a bit different. For players who have invested a good deal of time and strategy in Eastern Europe, to pick up and quit really wouldn't be fair. Now, if we lose one of them, that's a different story...

I'm not forcing anyone to keep playing. If you feel you cannot continue due to time constraints, I totally understand and it's not problem. That's just a natural part of life.

Yes, having so many NPCs is probably not ideal, but it is what it is. I am *very* hesitant to suspend play until more people join, because that would in all likelihood just be a game over and I doubt it would be resumed.

If there were some way to project the Great Eastern War at a quicker pace, I would not necessarily be opposed but I don't know quite what I'm envisioning. Maybe somehow through discord or something? I'll have to think on it.

Maybe you ask to all the players (except those involved in the great eastern war) what are their future moves (epilogue) except for the great eastern wars players who will have to continue playing at a quicker rate. For the next "turns" you only update this war and not the rest and then the war will be concluded you make a general epilogue.

So you just have to update the great eastern war.

Let's be honest, it's the only part of the game that is still semi active and where there is still interest to play.

I’d be strongly opposed to this.  Either the whole game ends at once and gets an epilogue or the whole game should keep going.  You can always drop out for RL reasons.  It’s not like France is in danger of being invaded or something Tongue

I still have interest in playing right now.

At the same time, however, I do agree with Spamage that we should start looking to wrap things up in the next 2-3 turns.

I can’t start writing my moves till I hear back from Spamage about four things.

I think there’s a typo in there.  It says that I assassinated the King of Prussia which I absolutely did not do.  Plus, the eyes of God are a domestic secret police like the Stasi and don’t even operate overseas as per my orders.  Could you please fix that section of the update?  I just made peace with Prussia so I’d kinda prefer that not get undermined by something I didn’t do.

Turn 7 has begun. As usual talk to me if there's any discrepancies. It will end Saturday, October 3 unless in-game circumstances change.

When is midturn?

My sincerest apologies, but I have reached the point in which I'm forced to drop out as well. Have more or less managed to carry on despite RL pressure, but I did recieve some bad news this week (family related, as some of you know) that have made it very difficult - if not impossible - to concentrate.

If I can help in any other way to keep the game going (issuing very general directives or something like that) please do let me know. In the meantime, I can only say that, as usual, it was yet another brilliant round from the master himself, and probably (quite likely!) one of the most challenging experiences I've had.

I’m really sorry to hear that, I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers Sad
